Fundamental Classes

Fundamental classes are designed for students who benefit from more practice of the school level targets.

HOMEWORK BOOSTERS

Homework boosters are for students looking to gain confidence in their mathematical skills.
Students typically work on specific school targets and are given guidance in completing their homework assignments or projects in a supportive academic environment. Sessions are run and supervised by instructors with experience running math help centers in a college environment and are staffed by capable faculty that can help students in grades K-12.
Some students opt at attending those sessions with classmates taking the same course at school because they benefit from working with peers and still want to have the option to ask questions and have their work checked or simply work under the direction of a math instructor.
We have specific time intervals during the week that are dedicated to those sessions and kids needing help with school work. Those sessions can be walk-ins or previously scheduled regular weekly appointment times.
Sessions are purchased in packs but students can attend any sessions on a need to basis.

TRADITIONAL SCHOOL TARGETS

Traditional School Targets Class (3rd-12th grade)

1hr/wk

Our traditional targets classes are designed for students who need support and direct instruction and regular practice to learn the school targets systematically for each particular grade level and topics course. All the traditional school targets are covered by grade level (respectively for 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, Pre-Algebra, Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, Pre-Calculus & Calculus) but students are also stretched to make deductions and connections beyond what is regularly expected of them at schools. We gradually build from the basics and evolve to solve problems that are harder but ensure better retention and understanding of the fundamental targets. Students enrolled in this class will be responsible to complete weekly assignments (in addition to their regular school math homework) and are expected to maintain a good work ethic so they do not lag behind.

COMPREHENSIVE REVIEW

Comprehensive review classes address the needs of students who are preparing for an upcoming important test. However, frequently they are taken by students who simply want to make sure that they have a good basis to build on and find it beneficial to revisit important notions. Especially if certain topics were rushed at school or not fully covered. We address all the necessary school targets and do so in depth with harder problems than school level worksheets. Review classes are offered in Pre-Algebra, Algebra I, Algebra II, Geometry, Pre-Calculus and Calculus.
